I will miss seeing her face and hearing her voice and knowing she was always there close to me. She has crossed a river from me that I must wait to cross before I see her again. When I see a river, I will think of her. -- Terry Kay

Dear Reese,
I read this quote in a book the other day. I love thinking of you just across the other side of a river. Perhaps you are right there, watching and waiting.

It was so hard for me to let you go across the river. I wanted to hold your hand forever. To walk through this life with you, not without you. I would do anything to have you back. How I wish I could just reach my hand out and pull you back. How I wish.

But I know that you are safe there and that brings me some peace. And when my time comes to cross the river, I will not be afraid because I know you are there waiting. You will be the first one I run to, sweet baby. I cannot wait to see you again. To finally have a chance to hear your voice ... your laugh. I cannot wait.

The love I feel for you is rich and overflowing. You are a powerful force in my life and you always will be. I know you are here, I feel you here. I feel your love wrap around and envelop me like a warm blanket every night. I am so thankful for that. Thank you for all the gifts you continue to bring me every day. I am a better person because of you.

When I see a river, my love, I will think of you.

Love you always,
Mom
